Pediatric Dentistry

What is Pediatric Dentistry?

Establishing good habits to keep smiles healthy and bright starts during childhood. We offer pediatric care to children and teens of all ages. In fact, it’s a good idea to get your child in for their first appointment once you notice their baby teeth coming in. From there, they’ll need to come in every six months for a checkup and preventative care treatment.

Why would Pediatric Dentistry be needed?

We take a unique, personable approach with all of our patients. This helps your child to feel relaxed, welcomed and comfortable while in our office. At all times, we use kid-friendly and non-scary dental terminology so that your child understands what is being done and isn’t afraid of what is to come. Because we work with children of all ages and varying needs, we feel confident in providing your children the care that they require.

Why Would Pediatric Dentistry Be Needed

What are common procedures involved with Pediatric Dentistry?

Our goal is to keep smiles healthy, full and bright. We offer a variety of preventative measures that can help to prevent tooth decay and gingivitis from starting. When needed, restorative treatment is available comfortably in our office. Some of the most common things you’ll find concerning our pediatric care include:

  • Cleanings and exams
  • Sealants
  • Fluoride treatments
  • Dental education
  • Product and technique recommendations
  • Orthodontic treatment
  • Fillings
  • Extractions
  • Wisdom tooth removal

What can your child expect during their Pediatric Dental appointment?

Your child will be greeted comfortably in our office and taken to one of our examination rooms. Typically, our pediatric appointments will include a cleaning and comprehensive examination. The cleaning is performed by our licensed hygienist who will work to clear away buildup and stains on your child’s teeth. Their teeth are then flossed and polished to a high, brilliant shine. We then perform the exam, looking for signs of decay and gingivitis. We’ll recommend treatments as needed and help you and your child to adopt healthier home habits to keep their smile clean.

If you want to schedule an appointment for your child to come in, call us today so that one of our friendly staff members can further assist you. Our low wait and one-on-one care can help you to feel confident in us providing treatment for your children.
