With a whitening toothpaste, you also get chemicals or polishing agents that help scrub stubborn stains off your teeth without using a bleaching chemical and can typically brighten those pearly whites one shade.

You should know that bleaching your teeth can cause temporary sensitivity, and if you already have problems with sensitive teeth, teeth whitening can cause additional discomfort.
